New front control arms, after market rubber bushings or poly bushings?

I was told that the control arms on my v6 needs to be replaced.
I'm considering these options:

- Replace the 4 front controls arms with GM parts
- Replace the 4 front controls arms with after market parts
- Keep the control arms and replace only the bushings, with Suspensia/Dorman parts
- Keep the control arms and install poly bushings.

Which option would you choose?

The front control arms have ball joints on the outer mount, so if the ball joints are worn you'd want to replace the whole arm.

As for the inner bushings, the lower control arm (rear arm, straight) has a very well designed bushing and you may not get much benefit going aftermarket.

The radius rod (front arm, bent) bushing could benefit from a replacement, or if you can find stiffer inserts for the bushing they would be a big improvement over stock and also be a lot easier than replacing the bushing (they just pull right out). Not sure who makes the inserts anymore; the Z/28 arms came with stiffer inserts but you'll have to buy the whole arm (if you still can).

I would go with what ever option best suits your performance goals and is serviceable. Most OE parts you cannot grease while most aftermarket suspension parts you can.
