About front O2 sensor delete

Hi. Camaro L99 engine with long tube headers, no cat, and cai. Nothing else and it is a daily driving car. My tuner delete the front o2 sensors because one of them stop working. Car runs just fine about 1 year. Is there anything wrong with them? Is it safe to drive for daily drive or should I replace the oxygen sensors and retune?

And how can i tell my front o2 sensor are disabled? I think front o2's are for short term fuel trim. I was check my stft and ltft from obd scanner and it looks ok to me?

If you are seeing STFT or LTFT readings from both banks, then they are working.

You would not want to delete the front 02 sensors. The rears can be deleted, and there are some codes specific to the front 02 sensors that need to be removed from the tune, but your car cant make closed loop fueling changes without the front 02 sensors.

^^^ this. If the fronts were deleted I would think your car probably wouldn't run right, if at all..The rears are what gets deleted in the tune.

Ok thanks. My stft and ltft look 0 both of them. So my tuner deleted my front o2s in the tune. Afr is stable at 14.6 when crusing and at the full throthle going 11.6. But car run fine and feels ok to me. Should i change my o2 s and then do retune?

You are certainly giving up a lot of drivability and fuel economy by not having working front O2s

I suggest you replace them with new and retune.

Ted.

^^^^ this, the best advice you will ever get, right there. You will be amazed at how much "better" your car will run with the sensors and ecu connecting/working properly!! You might think it is running fine, but it isn't really.
