The ZL1 is only 150 lbs heavier than the GT500. 3852 vs 4000 lbs.

Ya that article will end all questions on handling. Middle sized track so to cater well to both cars. ZL1 will show its strengths on hair pin and 500 on big straight. Wish they would of had a 1LE and a 302 LS with them too.

Add 120lbs to Z. 4120-3852=268

Incorrect. ZL1 is 4120 officially.

"Whatever the competition comes out with, we're going to kick the hell out of them".

Did Shelby get regular checks from FoMoCo? Golly, I believe so. Are SVT technicians paid by Dearborn? Let's hope so.

It is right there to grasp with small pulley added, CA1, and maybe a tune.

WE shall see.!
Mustang has always answered the Camaro and Oppenheimer should have known that, and yes he should have set the bar higher. That being said they are both great cars. In the area I live in I would have no need for either because I would simply be getting in trouble and be frustrated trying to keep my foot out of it. Where I live we have traffic cameras on every corner.

What happened from 1993 to 2002? They didn't seem to answer with much then.

I can't wait too. But I won't be depressed if the gt500 wins. Now if it destroys the zl1 then I will be concerned. The reason for this is simply due to the 10%+ price difference.

On the other hand, if the gt500 does not post better times then I think the ford guys will need to give it a bit more credit than just an auto X car. Because obviously this means its more than just an auto X car.

That's it for me. I'll remain silent on this war or words until the results.

I know its only 24 lbs different but where did you get 4120?

Inside line has them at 4096 vs. 3869, which is 227 difference.

Could it be because they were still outselling the Camaros and people were snatching up the 5.0s and adding simple mods and going fast as a do it yourselfer??
