3400 Question
Okay I did a search and couldnt really find what I'm lookin for. Sorry if this has already been covered.
My Dealer has been very accomodating, the only thing is that he has never had a TPW for me. I was at 3000 on around 5/14 and he didnt have a TPW. I called today and I am now at 3400 (order broadcast). So my question is...What exactly does that mean? Can others who have already been through that process give me some insight into how long it should take for my car to be built/shipped?

Broadcast is basically when they start the actual build of your car. You should have your VIN (status 3800 - built) within a week or two. It should ship within a week after that and then take another week or two to get to you. I say should because it could get held in QC before shipping and could take longer. These are all just estimates and could take more or less time. There's lots of cases where something "went wrong" per say and took MUCH longer.

Thanks also for the info. our car was 3800 the week of May 18th. I called the dealer Friday for status and was told when it gets here we will call you. I was curious to see if it was shipped but no info availiable from dealer. is there a GM number i can call?.

However, dont get your hopes up. Members of this forum affectionately refer to this number as 1-800-USELESS. You may get some info, you may not. Its really hit or miss

seems hit and miss lately. but, rumor has it that they are really pumping them outta QC hold. even is you wind up in QC, shouldn't be long at this point!

Unless there are new major problems popping up, such as the battery cable issue, I would think there would be few to no cars going into a QC Hold status. I would tend to believe when issues are found, these are relayed to the mfg process and during future builds.

Thanks for the info. I called GM and was told the car has left the factory no date as to when. I assume it has been shipped.
