Painted my Instrument Panel rings!

I painted my silver instrument-panel rings black and I think it's the best mod I've made yet. I always thought those huge thick heavy-handed silver bezel rings sticking up would look a lot better if they were toned down and I was right!!! My dashboard doesn't look like a cheap plastic toy anymore, but has a dark sinister professional look to it. The flash photos don't show it off in its best light obviously but it looks great in person and especially in the dark. I painted it a metallic-flake black and then oversprayed the inside of the rings from the back with a satin black to stop it from reflecting the horrible cyan blue of the gauges like the stock silver colour does. How do you like it!?!?!?

Here is the normal BEFORE look....

And here is how it looks AFTER being painted black...

Again, it's not as glittery looking as the flash photos make it look.

I like it... prolly my next DIY MOD. The glare off the bezels is bothersome so this will be a practical fix too. I do think this should be moved to a different section in the Forum as well.

Did not think I would like it but it cuts down on the glare major. Nicely done!

This section says "Come discuss anything and everything related to the 5th generation Camaro." I guess I'll have to look at the rest of the sections; this is the only one I've ever read!

I have no idea why you'd think that the lack of a reflective ring around your gauges would strain your eyes. It actually makes the gauges much easier to see.

I'm guessing this would be best placed in the Cosmetic Modifications section.

THanks again for the pics... very helpful.

I like them the stock color but I have a SIM and they match pretty good with the car

also why do you have a US fuel gauge and MPH speedo on the first picture and then a canadian fuel gauge and KMH speedo on the other pics?
