Way to change file extension

Got a tune from a shop via email, but it is a .mtu file. The SCT tuner only uploads .cef file. Is there a way to change this and keep the tune functional? Or does the shop have to do it?

your tuner should accept .zcf, .mtf, .mtu, .mvf, .sul, .xtr, .ll3, .cef, and .val files ...

Do you know how to change it to accept .mtu files? It only wants to download .cef. Tried three times now.
