Near yearly update
Over the year I went down to a 2.95" tungsten coated pulley to max out the Vortech V3 SCi but the 6-rib belt could not handle it. When the belt is cool it will get the full 17 PSI of boost, but at the track it would only get 13 PSI. My transmission was also slipping due to the high power that was going through it so the best run I could get in September was 11.560 @ 121.04. In October I put a Gates blue racing belt that helped with the slip but only for a little bit, by the time I got to the track it went down to 14 PSI. But I still went 11.268 @ 120.11 in 2278 ft DA on STOCK LLT INTERNALS. I got the transmission shifts down from nearly 800 milliseconds due to slippage down to 50-100 milliseconds. It shifts hard and fast now, on the track it will spin the tires on the shift. Over the winter this year I will be upgrading the pulley system to a setup used on the Hemi and 350z Vortech Supercharger kits. If I can get the belt slipping problem fixed the car should easily run 10's, I'm losing a lot of power on the top end from it. Car is still running very strong even with 226 passes on the engine/transmission that were not made for this kind of abuse. |

Wow, didn't even know that it was COTW back in Jan, probably need to pay more attention.
Car weighed 4100 pounds on the 11.2 run, so either I need to go on a diet or the car does. |

Spending even more money on the little V6, MACE cams and valve springs to rev the engine out to 7500 and still make power.

Took the engine down to the short block, time to put the new cylinder heads with cams in.
Did this all in my little garage on jackstands. |
