So far there are 66 Camaro owners who have reported installing the HUD in their Camaro's. The one who made this possible is 2SSRS (Ofer). This link/thread list those who have done the install.

Check out TopThrill's post on installing a HUD.......not for the faint of heart! He is located in Hampton, VA. I have seen his install and it is above GM standards!

IMHO it's not that difficult to install the HUD - you just need a space that you can stay organized. I used a notepad w/ little baggies to keep track of all my screws and where everything went. That with Ofer's instructions made it doable. I did it 100% by myself but I had a garage & I did it slow over two weekends.
I don't have much in the way of tools & the only thing I had to buy extra was a T50 Torx to take off the steering wheel. The scariest part was cutting a hole in the dash & where the the control goes. |
