Good for them, at least they're acknowledging it. Several of is ZL1 owners have had random electric power steering failures without any acknowledgment from higher ups at GM. Our problem is being ignored and Jeep's is being warrantied. Good for them.

Meanwhile, what is Dodge doing to fix these issues since the durango is the same basic system? just curious how Chrysler admitted to it and there is nothing stated about Dodge.

Pay attention:

Quote:
Included are 2006- to 2010-model-year Jeep Commanders and 2005 to 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokees, of which about 295,000 are in the United States, 28,500 are in Canada and 4,200 are in Mexico. The remaining 141,000 are outside of North America.
The Grand Cherokee and Durango didn't start sharing the same platform until 2011. Both of those Jeeps shared their own platform, the Durango was based of the Ram.....

I'm not surprised since the old Chrysler was about as reliable as a drugged out crack-whore living on the streets.

GM and Ford were much more reliable than Chrysler at that time.

really hmmmm. Chrysler just got a bad rap when they went through their first bankruptcy. I for one have never owned a Mopar that gave me any more trouble than any other brand. In fact I have a FORD service truck that I am in negotiations with FORD to repurchase so I can go back to Dodge so I can get another 430+K on. This new truck has 65K and already is in the shop for engine number 3. So much for the 350 and it's best of class lol.

WRONG! I have had had way to many GMs with WAY too many problems while my Chryslers were FAR better. It seems like nearly every GM I have owned goes through their transmission WAY too early, windows fall off track, interiors fall apart, considering we are talking about around the 90s and the first decade of this century I can assure you that NO, GM did not have better quality, they had to file banruptcy too remember? For good reason.

Some people need to stop bad mouthing Chrysler if they haven't even driven one before. I've driven a 300 and Charger SRT8, and let me tell you, they are GREAT cars.
