2)- I've got a thread going on the engine discoloration... I'm 99% convinced its the clear coat not capable of handling the engine heat. After some arguing at the dealer, they finally repainted the engine bay. Came out great and no issues so far. I'm hoping they used a better/different clear than stock, time will tell. Several others have come forth on my thread with the same issue.

One last thing- get your top fixed ASAP before they have to replace it... I'm going on my second top replacement and don't think I've heard a single "good" story about someones top replacement.... most shops in my area wont even do them
Drago I'm starting to think that convertible top repair or replacement is becoming a lost art. Hard to find a master who trained as an apprentice and has done it for 30+ years. I knew of one in Boston 4 years ago, but he was getting ready to retire I think. Dealerships can't afford to train or staff the position, can't blame them as too small a percentage of cars are verts.

Very true...my service dept has 2 trim shops they outsource for this type of work, both refused when they heard the car (which in itself is amazing in this economy!) They're left with 2 options, they old guy who screwed up my first top replacement-resulting in my second, or a seriously old guy, who although very experienced, has also never done this type of modern top assembly... almost tempted to go back to the first guy since he at least has done one now... granted, not well...

Thank you so much for the information. I am now convinced the "clicking/grinding" noise is now the regulators on the rear windows. Like I said, other than the wear marks in the top, none are huge issues at the moment and I still use her as my daily driver (and I wish summer was longer, because it has already began to snow in Vail, and I feel its on its way to lower elevations ). I am so thankful of all the knowledge on this website. This weekend I will try to get pics of the strut towers.

That is a great idea for the order number. I dont know what happend, but I ordered a 2010 just like this one because there wasnt one for sale west of the Mississipi river, and two weeks later my dealer called and said this one was just delevered to another dealer in Denver. Like I said, it is just odd it went that long under the radar.

Ramgrad, I also have a squeeky almost like a bird chirping noise when the top is down. It sounds like some metal parts on the top are rubbing.
My passenger rear window makes a grinding as well. I have an appointment on Wednesday.

Yea, the squeak isnt bad, but you are right, it sounds like a bird chirp. It will be interesting to see if your dealer says the window noise is the regulator, seems like it is getting to be a common problem. Like I said, none of the issues are huge, but added up they are a PITA.
