Very easy install. The hardest part is installing the seal. If u start at the point that Airaid suggests and then hold the rest of the seal up while pressing down it goes pretty smoothly.

Had mine installed on my V6 yesterday. Reinstalled fuses 5 and 20 several times in diff order (they were out durng the entire install) but engine lite kept coming on after starting car. Someone had a gizmo that they plugged into my ECU under the dash and sent a reset command. That seemed to do the trick, no more engine lite and I didn't lose any settings or had to reset tire pressure sensor stuff.

Car "feels" and drives different now. Before, everything was always quiet with a high whine under load. Also, before the CAI, the "g-force" always seemed to have a lag until about 3.5-4K rpm. Now, you get on the gas, the engne roars a little, and there is much more even power from about 2.5 all the way to 6 depending on how hard I mash the gas. It's hard to describe. I am "assuming" I am making more power cause the "g-force" starts sooner, but since the torque is so even across most of the power band now, it's kinda deceptive. I was so use to the burst at 3.5-4 that I m not sure if I am making more power or not. I regret not doing any off-the-cuff speed times before installing the CAI. I do love the g-force kicking in a lot sooner, but it's either just not as pronounced or I'm not use to it kicking in earlier and lasting longer.

I do love the sound, totally silent while I am cruising, but a nice little roar when I mash on the gas. If I accelerate slowly, the sound is exactly identical as stock. I love the control of the sound I never had before. Totally different than stock. I've only driven the car for about 30 minutes (and I stopped for gas during that time), so I'll repost if anything changes with the feel over time.

By the way, thank you very much David@Airaid. This is the first mod I've ever done to any car I've ever owned, and so far, I am very happy with this CAI!!!

Obviously he is using the "butt dyno" method.

I'm assuming "g-force" is an accelerometer, like the G-Techs....

I also know what he means about the low RPM lag... very interesting...

I was able to get 10% off at JD Motorsports just for mentioning that I was a Camaro5 member.

Just installed mine today, pretty simple. Also pulled fuses #5 and #20 and reinstalled in the same order, no codes came up after test drive. Butt dyno likes it! Thanks Airaid, Im very pleased with your work on this CAI.

Nice! What paint did you use on the color? That's the scheme I'd like on my aside from the "Decepticon".

I just placed an order with Stealth Performance on here for the AIRAID- has anyone else gotten one from there?- what are shipping times like?

It looks like from the other thread that there could be some inventory issues.

Thanks,

Chris
