After looking at cost of those vs custom 1 7/8 - 2" it seemed to make more sense to go custom. Plus depending on which shorties you get you might run into cracking from the back pressure, heat, and weight of the turbos. Any plans to brace the turbos or still gonna just let em hang? Also is the intake manifold setup for twin injection or what's the second bung?

Thanks
That is the set of shorties we got.

I had Hogan include a bung for nitrous in case we ever decide to do that.

Save your money and go with Air to Water Intercooler you can get ice and water anywhere and alot cheaper then bottle refills. Nice build. Between you and Mark your going to make Tommy a old man.

Note fuel system is about done, rear is 95% done, poly bushing done pretty much the rear of the car is 95% done.

Engine has the fuel rails and injectors now installed and more, its going! I am certain DE will stop in and get more photos, but these will do for now!

Every time that I see this thread pop back up I foam at the mouth just a little. I hope you make the Fest and if not I hope to see it in person next year.

Stopped by IPS and got some updates. The engine/tranny are in the car although they will be dropped down again a few more times as they work on fitting the transmission into the car. To do this, they had to modify the tunnel a bit (that tranny is a big sucker!). Also, IPS has fabricated a bracket for the transmission to create the correct angle between the transmission and the driveshaft. They were just finishing the welding on that bracket when I was there this morning.

Here are the pics...

Engine/tranny in the car!

Notch in the tunnel to provide clearance for the 4L80 transmission.
(This picture was taken last Friday before the driveshaft went in.)

Here are some shots of the bracket that IPS has fabricated to hold the transmission at the correct angle for the driveshaft.

3 1/2" aluminum driveshaft.

DSS pumpkin.

See my pretty pink Precision Industries Vigilante torque converter?

They also had a groove carved into the throttle body for an O-ring to help create a better seal.

Oh Emma, I am falling in love with your car. Would it be wrong of me to add a little criticism to the transmission mount?

Go ahead, but it's not done yet. He hasn't even finished welding this piece yet. I showed up today and he wanted me to see it as he was fabricating it. So, I asked for a picture of it on the car. He just put a couple bolts in it to hold it in place for the pic. I have absolute confidence in the tech who is doing my build. He is the Master.

Thats what I figured, judging by the outside of the plates it looks like the welds either got cold toward the top or they stopped them short and are not finished yet. Also, it looks like it could benefit from a bit more vertical stability which may also give you a spot to mount a forward drive shaft loop. Relying on two 1/4 inch steal plates with the power that you are going to see is going to cause allot of twist on those brackets and some vertical support would distribute the load little better. Not doubting IPS but stronger is better at 140+ MPH, or maybe its just me over analyzing things.
