I would say it depends on the turbos you pick. If you have 1400hp turbos it will be laggy and not that great. Get some ~700-800hp turbos in there and they should be full boost 2k and be really easy to modulate. Obviously cars like GTRs, mp412s, 911s, and most high end super cars are turbo and handle road course stuff just fine. It is about selecting the right turbos for the job. I know the AGP car I had the pleasure of borrowing for a week with the base turbos in small housings was great, completely controllable and had great part throttle response.

The AGP is selling for under $7000 new, and I figure an other $500-$900 to tune properly on a dyno after I install the kit myself. My 1LE already comes with lighter ZL1 mags and 285 Good Year F1's on all 4 corners. Sure, I never said there is never room to improve upon this , but out if the box, the 1LE is a nicely sorted package which is the sole reason why I bought it in the first place. Lighter flywheel and lighter seats would make sense on the track, but this will not be a dedicated track car.......well not yet anyways. |

I'm asking because I'm curious how much quieter my oem NPP exhaust will become with the turbochargers in place. Thought I'd take the opportunity to ask. As we all know, a turbo unit acts like a 1/4 of a muffler... |

I don't know. It was my week rental car when I came out for a vacation.
I do agree with MTI though, for road racing the stock power level is already more than the tires/etc can handle. Add 100-200hp is a ton of fun, but the rest of the chassis may need some help and stickier tires all around. Plus bigger brakes, etc. Sounds like you want a fun all around car that can do a little of everything. I would talk to SGDM as he has a TT 1LE.

Thank you for that, I'll PM him ASAP!
.....….......... Meanwhile, a member on here was kind enough to introduce to me IPS Motorsports Twin Turbo kit. I haven't had the chance to fully research them, but I thought I'd ask here, what's the word on the street on them? I noticed that the IPS TT basic kit, goes for about a G note less than a basic AGP TT kit... |

Read up on what each kit includes. Fuel, catchcans, ceramic coating, powder coating, v-bands, plugs, injectors, etc.

Liking what I am hearing about the AGP TT setup. But I have questions.
Is it really as easy as installing LTs? I have done that twice and removed them once on race ramps. Would you guys from AGP support me too if needed? I do really love the idea of low stress turbos low in the car. Would the a 550-600 TT setup be any harder hitting than a similar power Centrifugal setup? (Hopefully not.) Can I keep my stock cats? If not where do they go? At that power level will I need injectors? Will the 1LE ZL1 fuel pump and pickup work too? Will my stock tuned car be drive able to a shop to tune the TT setup? What are the boost gauge options? Sorry for all the questions.

More too it, but basically yes. Just bolt them on, hook up the lines, mount the intercooler, and a few charge pipes. Would you guys from AGP support me too if needed? I do really love the idea of low stress turbos low in the car. Yes. Would the a 550-600 TT setup be any harder hitting than a similar power Centrifugal setup? (Hopefully not.) Depends on turbos, boost controllers, housings, etc. It can be, or not. That is up to you. Can I keep my stock cats? If not where do they go? No, the turbos replace the cats. You could put cats after the turbos if wanted. At that power level will I need injectors? ~480rwhp or so, but the kit comes with 850cc injectors which are good for 800+ Will the 1LE ZL1 fuel pump and pickup work too? Yes Will my stock tuned car be drive able to a shop to tune the TT setup? Yes, if you keep stock injectors then swap them there. What are the boost gauge options? Whatever you want. There are hundreds of options.
