AC not working on a 3 week old car!

Hi camaro family, I picked up my '14 LT/RS 3 weeks ago, I had no problems for about 600 miles. I went on a trip for 3 days and when I came back the battery died. No biggie, had onstar give me a jump and its been normal for a couple of days. Tonight while driving home and minding my own business I stopped at an auto parts store (had to pick up a microfiber drying towel - black cars you know) jumped back into the car started her up ~ but no AC, the car started fine but when turning the knobs for the fan nothing happens, no lights for the AC... nada. The mylink works and everything else in the car works. I turned off the car and restarted it, still no joy. Have you guys ever heard of this before? I did a search and only saw threads about cooling issues. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

It might have something to do with mylink. Not sure though, take it to the dealer.

That's why you have a warranty, just take it in. My 04 GTO had AC issues when I had it.

I did turn off the mylink power button tonight. Hmmmmm. I'll check on that. Go chargers!

I'm going to that tomorrow. Just wondering if it's me or someone else might have experienced that.

Warranty or not, thats just weird to happen right off the bat. When I think warranty, I think hopefully not needed for a few years.

most likely one of 2 things. either it lost freon, or a sensor/fuse or something like that went bad. the refrigerant for the system is in the freon, so all ac compressors are equipped with a low pressure shutoff that shut it down in the event of a loss of freon. that way it doesn't burn itself up.

Happened to me about a month after I bought my 14 2SS. Had been running errands to multiple stores and after one stop, car started fine but AC controls were dead - no lights. Everything else seemed to be working. I actually drove over to my closest Chevy dealer to make an appt...and they were able to run a quick diagnostics check. Came back with all failure codes for the AC of course and they told me I would have to schedule for later in the week as they have to remove the MyLink to fully troubleshoot. Made the apt and left. After I was home for a bit, had to run back out - and you guessed it, everything working fine. This was about 3 months ago (bought the car in Dec 2013) and it hasn't happened since. I had posted this and fellow members said it was the "beauty" of MyLink and when this happens, usually turning the car off and letting it sit a while will clear it.

Edit to add that it only happened to me once. Anymore and I will take it back for service.
Just wondering, since this happened to me when the car was still brand new and it seemed to happened to you also, maybe there is some break-in, settling in that the MyLink system has to do - who knows.

I to had this happen once, worked fine the next day. Lots of functions
going on from this mylink gremlin. I've also experienced navigation failures, not to mention camara view doing 70. All have to corrected themselves so far.

Thanks Jd, I started digging around and the only thing I discovered was that I had a spare tire! very good insight, thank you.

When I was test driving, the car was initially buried in the back of the lot blocked by 2 other cars, it was sitting so long that they needed to jump the cars to move it out of the way...except mine, it started right up, I was like, it was meant to be.
