This confused me a lil in mototrends review,
is he referring to the SS becuz he says 300+HP?

Quote:
In return, fuel efficiency actually goes up: the automatic delivers an EPA rating of 18/29 city/highway mpg. Not too shabby for a 300-plus-horse car, no?
*EDIT*
OK I SEE HE GOES OFF ON A TANGENT ON PAGE 2 ABOUT THE V6 lol...V8 CONTINUES ON PAGE 3

BTW
Quote:
Look out. With the automatic, the SS is actually the quickest off the line, gunning to 60 mph in a scalding 4.6 sec.

Whatever its powertrain guise, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro feels like a very grown-up, highly polished machine. In many regards, it's more reminiscent of the best sport coupes from Europe and Japan than it is a carrier of the musclecar torch from four decades ago. Should that worry the modern Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang -- potentially even the pricier Nissan 370Z or bluebloods like the Audi S5? It Should Indeed....

Looks like Motor Trend's drivers are better than Edmunds.. either that or that GPS testing meter Edmunds uses isn't very good...

I love what MT said about the V6, makes me glad I am getting it.!!!

The stopping distiance for the V6 and the SS are almost identical.. must be the difference in the weight...

Did anyone take note of the fine print in Motortrend's test times for the SS manual? They were all done with the launch control on and the writer actually stated "We found, however, that in skilled hands the car is quicker when human-launched. "This baby has launch control" is a great bragging line, though."

The Edmund's review definitely seems unreliable, given GM's numbers and Motortrend's being on-par with each other. I was hoping for better skidpad #s though. Oh well, at least they're as good as a G35 coupe--not bad for a heavier car.

What worries me is the subpar interior reviews, not so much the 0-60 time.

Edmunds really needs to hire better drivers..

Lets have Dale Jr test the Camaro and his staff to see what numbers they have.

I think he is pretty good driver

I too WAS worried about the interior of the Camaro.... until I sat in one. It's more of a personal preference thing. All I really cared to hear about were the numbers to see how far off they were from GM's. And I got the info that I needed. Relying on these reviewers to give me their opinions on the interior is about as useless as listening to a movie review. For example, no reviewer ever gave "Super Troopers" four stars, but that's my favorite movie. Just my .02

True, but Super Troopers didn't cost 38K, and you don't have to watch it everyday. Since I don't get to test my 0-60 legally all that often, the interior is pretty important.

My wife and I both sat in a new Camaro last weekend at the auto show, I certainly did not see anything that caused me to think "sub-par interior", I had no problems with the interior. I think overall Motor Trend really loved the new Camaro, Edmunds I could care less about.
