Assuming "mile" is the same, that 41mpg comes out to 34 miles per US gallon. That's more believable.

Transport Canada's rating on the V6 Camaro is 6.8L/100 KM.
Translated, this equals 41.54 miles per imperial gallon, which, as has already been stated, is 20% larger than the U.S. gallon.
U.S. gallon equivalent = 34.59 mpg.

Best regardSS,

Elie

And our rating system was more optimistic than the old US system. For reference, the Prius is rated at 71 mpg city, 67 highway.

I know that the EPA here is not so realistic but numbers are there for comparison's sake with the othe manufacture for example we have the 2.4L vibe gt with 5 spd manual that is rated by epa 29 mpg in city and 39 mpg on the highway!

Compare apples to apples .... epa rating on others vs camaro....

you get the picture and yes the vehicle is sold order but should be picked up either monday or tuesday.... cheers!

THREE things are apple to apple.....

1 RPM = 1 RPM
1/4 MILE = 1/4 MILE
400hp = 400hp

L99 in the SS 6-speed automatic looks to be good for 1 MPG better than the manual.
What can I say...

Autos are much better than they used to be, they've been heavily developed in all ways.

In the meantime, from a fuel economy point of view, manuals haven't been significantly developed and probably don't have much room for improvement. The only thing they could do, which would anger customers and reviewers, would be to put in a glacially tall 6th for 70mph cruising. That would force us gear-rowers to occasionally downshift for an uphill pass on the highway -- a big no-no. The Camaro does come with some reasonably tall gears anyway.
