first oil change—expensive?
How much are ya paying for oil changes? Took it to the stealership today and it was about 50 bucks. Is this because of the dexos? Just curious because changes for my past cars have always been 25-30.

My dealership (Classic Chevrolet) gave my first oil change for free. But I upgraded to full synthetic Mobil 1 and it cost all together $20.

Damn!....change it yourself. I spend $6-$8 on filter. $28x2 for 5w-30 Valvoline Syntech 5 liter jug. About $64 total. Recycle the old oil at auto parts store. Not really that difficult.

$75 for Mobil synthetic oil change at the dealer. Not bad considering how much oil it uses and the quality of the oil.

Wow, so I guess 50 bucks isn't too bad. Does the SS hold much more than the V6 though? They have "8" on my bill, so I guess that is 8 quarts?

Only $50!
Not bad by me. Partly why I sold off my Crossfire. Dealers wanted $125 so I jus payed $60 for the oil and did it myself. |
