Spastic Squirrel??

Recently my camaro was wrecked and I need to prove that my car was really just one of very few... Where can I find that information??

I have a 1SS ABM LS3... I found here this info

ABM = 3610
ABM LS = 266
ABM LT = 611
ABM 2LT = 860
ABM SS = 261
ABM 2SS = 1612
so mine is 1 of 261.. How many were manual transmissions/grey cloth seats?

I'm looking for something official that I can print and show the insurance adjuster to claim the loss of value for frame damage and airbag being deployed... 1 of 3610 is good, 1 of 261 is even better for my claim, but I still need something more official than a forum thread with that info listed....

Help anyone??

By the way the wreck was not my fault, it was the other driver. It's his insurance that I'm dealing with. They are covering everything and my car is almost back in my driveway after almost a month. But with the frame damage and airbag deploying, no matter what any carfax report is going to show that information and since it's a "rare" car the value lost is more significant than that of a regular camaro according to a friend of mine that is a Chevy dealer..

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Thats why I'm trying to figure out if there is some sort of place I can get that information... Would a dealer be able to do that for me?

Talk to Mike Judge (super60) he will be able to tell you how unique your ABM was.

This is possible. But he has taken a big step back lately and may be difficult to reach/engage...

Mike is a great guy. He's stopped posting as much but he still answers PMs and such.

I'm surprised that the rarity would make a difference with your claim. There are not many LS3/ABM/1SS around, that's for sure.

I can't see this being worth much of anything at all. It is a mass produced vehicle that happens to have a "rarer" not rare paint job. Thousands of them on the road with this paint. Good luck in finding the info.

compnine.com was a great site for vin decoding and it told you how many of your specific car and options were made... but the site closed down apparently :(

You could talk to George at GM vintage services in Oshawa.
http://www.vintagevehicleservices.com/options.html

Also the Camaro Whitebook lists the ABM number at 2,027 for all SS's. That is as close to a documented number as you may get.
