Should see it one or two model years before the body/engine changes. (The opinion expressed here is in now way related to any insider information)

I think there should be one, and there are a number of us on Camaro5 that feel the basics for a Z28 should be an LS7 Camaro with an upgraded suspension. Others have other views, but that seems to be the most popular, followed closely by a car with an upgraded LS3 of some sort (again, with an upgraded suspension)

It's been said before from the GM brass to expect something new every 6 months. Since the vert is out and the ZL1 is due 1st of the year, I would expect sometime in the 2013 model year. My guess they'll finalize the new Corvette and the 5.5L V8 before annoucing plans for the Z28.

The ZL1 is your Z28 for now, like it or not. How much different could a Z28 be from a ZL1? If there will be a Z28 you wont see it untill the 2nd or 3rd year of GEN6.

Since it is expected for the 6 gen camaro to come out model year 2016, then heck yes there should be a Z28. Personally I am guessing that GM will make it for the 2014 model year.
