CONFUSED!!!! ADVICE ANYONE????
It was a wonderful day on March 25th, 2009 that I ordered my CGM with Black Leather 2LT / RS / AUTO for MSRP + $500! A little over 2 months the news with the plant closing and GM bankruptcy is really got me going insane. I would wait with more solid garauntee but there is non. I finaly started research found a car that I ordered except its SIM not CGM. Not a bad compromise if I can get the car 2 months or so in advance but they SIM is MSRP nothing more, but I will have to pay to transport it across the country from the eastern corner of the US to the south central area of TX. So I did the paper work with the dealer waiting on finance to come through and give me my percentage. My mom is telling me that it would be safer to wait and purchase from my local dealer which has a grand of mine already deposited but I'm still at 1100 with nothing more to say. I think that GM is a good enough company to take care of me regardless of where I buy it. My dad doesn't care he will be happy to see his son have the car of his dreams sitting in his drive way. WHAT TO DO SOMEONE EXPLAIN...???
p.s. I have no idea on what transport fee will be yet, I'm guessing around $500 to $700... Anyone have any idea on what that would run?!?! |

I would wait and get the color you want.
Your order probably close to being built so just relax and enjoy the summer a bit. You'll be happy with what you ordered and sticking too it. |

I keep telling myself the same and the CGM to me is so sweet. But there is nothing to a paint job. If you think about it I'll only be paying around $500 more to paint it the color I prefer if I get annoyed of the SIM(which is still pretty sweet), I'll almost consider it that I payed $500 more to get the car I wanted much faster almost in half the time period!

to be honest.. your patience will be worth it in the end.. i was going through the same thing you are.. i ordered an IOM a little over a week ago and a victory red 2ss poped up and i always planned on getting victory red untill i saw iom in person... i would have been disappointed in the long run if i rushed and didnt get exactly what my heart desired

I've thought alot about sayin screw GM and buying a Challenger but ya know what...it may be a Challenger (nice car) but if its not what you want...then what's the point? Think about it man, they have built 12000+ at this point, now they're gonna be making 2200 a week, and orders are at like 19000...you're car has NO reason as to why it wouldn't be built within June from what I am gettin; especially because now...they aren't doing their banko thing...I think that has been a HUGE hold up because as soon as the car is done...the dealers have to pay for it and if they don't have a car done...then the dealer doesn't have to show yet another "yet to be paid for" asset/loss? Wait it out bud, its only a month!!!

Wait, Wait, Wait! ! ! !
No sense getting a second choice color, taking the chance of something happening during the second shipping of the car, possibly losing your deposit. ANd you really don't want to paint a car - no matter how good the shop is .... its a repainted car. Based on what we've been seeing, cars are coming out of the factory quickly now AND your car will potentially better with less QC issues. WAIT!
