DOT 3 or 4?
2010 SS. It's time to give her a brake fluid change. I DO NOT track the car whatsoever. However, I do drive hard every now and then, but not enough to ever experience fade especially with all of the highway driving we have here in St. Louis.
I'm thinking of sticking with DOT 3 instead of DOT 4 for a few reasons.
Do you agree? Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

You will be fine using DOT 3. No problems.

Thanks! That's what I assumed. One of these years, the car will be turned into a track-only car. I'll get some Castrol RTF then.

Hopefully you do brake fluid flush/bleed more than every decade. Dot 3 or 4 will be fine as long as you flush/bleed brake fluid every 2-3 years with street use. You don’t need to track to benefit from quality fluid, dot 3 or 4.
