Is that a quote on a Camaro?

It can only be a rough estimate given that safety information on the Camaro hasn't been released yet.

Unfortunately though price would be about right. Being on your parent's policy would help lower it, as would being placed as a secondary driver on the car.

Depends on a lot of things, how many cars do they have with the company, house included? Their driving records, credit history, hair color.

When it comes to auto insurance about 50,000 variables come into play.

Your grades have an effect too. Get good grades, get discounts on insurance.

sorry to say this but there's no way a 16 yr old should have a car that cost more than 5k.

$1700 sounds right. I'm with State Farm as well and my insurance was a lil over $900 at that age and that was with a 4 cylinder Hyundai that barely had enough power to go 55. We also had multiple car discount (had 5 cars at the time) and got a discount because we had home owners insurance with them as well.

i have hearrd that it's like a "four door vs. two door" thing that sends the price sky high. is this necessarily true or what?

Insurance rates will vary greatly depending on how old you are, where you live, your driving record, if you own a house or appt., and about a billion other variables. Not the least of which is what kind of car you drive.

The 2010 Camaro is allmost assuredly not registered in the national database of insurable passenger vehicles yet. Technically, it still does not exist. So, no matter what anyone tells you, no insurance company can give you even a rough estimate on how much it will cost to insure. No VINs have been established and we've yet to get the certified NHTSA federal safety crash test ratings.

I was thinking more of $4000 for a 16 year old but hey, don't worry, the newer versions of Camaros will be out for you when you're a little older and can afford it all. No worries, trust me... time flys when you're young.
