I'm not really working on the LLT anymore. I think some of the things we learn here will be transferrable, though. Tracy is still working on the LLT so I would contact him and pick his brain.

I don't get it. The LT can't be tuned or is the lfx a better engine to tune and to make power?

The LFX is supported by efilive and hp tuners. Its a delphi ecm that is controllable by the popular tuning software suites. The LLT was a bosch ecm that is the devil.

Good Lord Derrick....lol

I'm sure you are aware that translates into roughly 600HP at the crank on your auto tranny car...and now you want to run E85 eh?? How much more power do you need?? lol just kidding!!

Congrats man! I want to see 10 second quarter miles this year from you. Got it??

OK...I'll take mid to low 11s.

The V6 section needed some excitement like this.

Yep...tuning killed that thing. I'd like to see IPF tuning tackle a big HP turbo LLT setup, but if its true that the HPFP on the LFX is better than it may never be capable of reaching the same levels as the LFX can anyways.

Yeah, we will back off on the boost for the street/93 octane tune. Don't need that much power to drive to work . We were really looking to see what we could do on pump gas.

Just to be clear, I wasn't there today so I'm relying on Ryan to clear up any of my mistakes.

They pulled the crankcase evac system off so this was venting to atmosphere. They had done everything they could think of to find what was causing the smoking at high RPMs. Finally they figured out that there was oil splashing up into the hose and getting pulled into the catch can. To get rid of the wheezing they are now evacuating the fumes into the exhaust behind the turbos (see the pictures I posted earlier). After unhooking that hose they got rid of the smoke and felt comfortable doing some real pulls. Long story short, there was false knock and so he was able to put most of the timing back in it and got 500 RWHP. It would probably make a bit more with a properly dialed in evac system (need some vacuum), but I'm happy with this on pump gas.

The goal has always been to run E85 at the track. We weren't sure we'd be able to pump enough fuel, but now it looks like we've got a good shot. It might yeild us another 30 HP, but that's just a guess. He's going to give that a try tomorrow and then they'll work on fixing the evac system and hopefully finalize the tunes.

I hope we can get her in the 10s, but low 11s will be fine by me. Ryan ran 11.3 with my slicks and skinnies. At the time he had about 480 RWHP I think, but can't remember the torque (probably a bit more than me). However, mine runs up to 7000 RPMs and my stall is a bit higher than his. It should be a real close race between the two of us...at least until he gets that new converter then he'll have the advantage again.
