373 gears installed Wednesday.
New backup camera installed Thursday.
Ordered SCT from Ted on Friday.
Received HUD harness on Friday.
Hope to install next weekend (waiting for HUD kit).

It's been a good week for mods

I'm in the business of custom motorsports and I think this is a well worth it mod.. I take my hat of to all the people leading the way on it. Even if it does cost a Grand to do, its a very nice retro fit. Plus, i don't understand people bitching about the cost when u own 45k dollar car (SS models) , its right in par with most mods... Lets see , headers=$700+install... custom audio =$1000=install... custom wheel package =$3500... get my drift?!

Hey I would have LOVED a roll up windows, rear seat and radio delete as a option in the new camaros. HUD just seems something for the "Bimmer" crowd.....

It's 2010, not 1967. All those delete options would be cool, though, as I bet others would also do it.

I like tech, so, I want this.

yeh i mean the total cost of the mod id prob charge 700-800 depending on how long it takes me to pull the dash all parts and labor aside its not to bad and that is without the windshield im just waiting to get mine from my gm dealer i got everything else but the hud and trim, once i get a base of the mod i guess accurate pricing can be set but one that is worth it, it gets a little sketchy doing 120 and having to look down at the cluster to see how fast you are going

i dont think bimmers have hud
wait i stand corrected
General Motors began using head-up displays in 1988[21] with the first color display appearing in 2001 on the Corvette. In 2003, BMW became the first European manufacturer to offer HUDs. The displays are becoming increasingly available in production cars, and usually offer speedometer, tachometer, and navigation system displays. Night vision information is also displayed via HUD on certain General Motors, Honda, Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Other manufactures such as Citroën, Saab, and Nissan currently offer some form of HUD system. Motorcycle helmet HUDs are also commercially available.[22]
Add-on HUD systems also exist, projecting the display onto a glass combiner mounted on the windshield. These systems have been marketed to police agencies for use with in-vehicle computers.

Has everyone forgot about the Bonneville, GM's first car with HUD? My 1993 Bonnie has it and i am 100% addicted. I didn't buy a 2010 Camaro SOLELY becuase of the rumors of HUD in 2011.
