Going from lowering springs to coil overs

Been reading A LOT, and this seems the way to go. Just curious if anyone has installed the AFE Featherlight coilovers and how the ride is? I come from the Jeep world with soft squishy suspension that handles every bump and washboard and you dont feel it in the cabin. Do coilovers on these car do the same? I know you can set them up for racing and make your car stiff and feel EVERY bump, but curious at peoples experiences with them for general driving around town and the very rare autocross day here and there. I live in Northern Michigan, home of the largest potholes known to man! (I do try to avoid them, but theyre still there along with all the smaller ones)

Having the adjustability is the main reason I went with coilovers. I have Pedder Xa's, which have a range of 25 clicks between the hardest and softest settings. I forget what I have the rears set to, but the fronts are 8 clicks up from the softest setting and provides enough cushion for normal day street driving. I recently had the fronts set to 12 clicks down from the hardest setting...it felt great on smooth roads (which are hard to come by in PA) but hitting any bump/pothole felt very harsh.

There is a limit on what good or soft valving will be able to with limited travel. If you have good shocks on the car now, I wouldn't expect a huge difference in ride quality swapping to coil overs. It might be better, but not a whole lot better. And it could be worse.
