2024 will be the last year Chevrolet will make a Camaro. The following year your Camaro will spike in value.

That’s cause it was a 4th gen and not a muscle car

The performance of the Camaro is amazing in all V8 variants but the looks kill it for me.
They’re not getting rid of designers. Get used to ugliness of vehicles.

Yep the only good looking Camaro since 2015 is the 17-18 ZL1 IMO

But what do I know?

4th gens were the worst model camaro ever! And it’s def not a muscle car. Granted the aerodynamics of the car were smoother and better? But it was a god awful model. You think I’m wrong? They killed the car because of that model!

oh I totally agree, hate the 4th gen but it was and still is considered a muscle car...sure a different design could of saved it but at what cost? trucks&suv's where making money, the borders where at peak 911 security levels so importing from Canada would see high production delays. profits weren't in the cards.
as to cancelling the Camaro again will not impact the value of the 5gen because all the 5gen's have already been produced...now the market sets the value. supply and demand.

Maybe times have changed, and of course opinions are like a-holes, everyone has one - but in all of my decades of owning Camaros, I and my car friends have never once considered 3rd or 4th gen Camaros or Firebirds as "muscle cars". Some fine looking cars, for sure. I've owned 7 of them from the 80s and 90s. And proudly drove them all. But "muscle"? Nope.

personally I do not consider the 4th gen a muscle car but it is categorized as one..... the cars from the 80's and 90's had more estrogen then testosterone, you where king of the modern domestic road with 300hp haha....where 13 on the 1/4 was a great time haha

Of course they are becoming more rare as cars get wrecked or not economically feasible to fix. I consider the gen IV LS peak pushrod V8. The LT is great but the direct injection and oil pump is going in the wrong direction from a hot rod perspective. Then you have the supply of V8 RWD manual vehicles. You have to consider if that supply is growing or shrinking. It's probably close to flat but once the 2023 is done then you have Mustangs and a few imports. Who knows in 5 years.

In regards to the classification of a muscle care, you have to consider the formula for the first one. Lighter more affordable car with the top power train options. This is a pretty broad spectrum.

Rarer? Yes, due to more going to the junkyard. I don't see many where I'm at - way more Gen 6 obviously. And the Gen 5's I do see have lost much of their luster. Nice ones are becoming fewer and farther between.

Will they increase in price? Who knows? But I wouldn't invest my 401(k) in one.

5th gen is my all-time favorite Camaro design, especially in Z28 trim, which is at the moment not obtainable for me.

I still see a ton of them around here, I’m looking to add another 5th (14-15 1LE) sometime next year. Hopefully they haven’t gone totally nuts in price. The used prices on them have slid a bit since the peak of a year or two ago, hopefully that continues till I get my second car.
