The forums are a treasure trove.

Honestly I plan on calling them on Friday to make sure they actually ordered the damn thing. I wasn't super confident in their abilities.

Not exactly news per se but I absolutely love Motor trend destroying the TRD Pro vs. ZR2.

Toyota made a massive mistake coming out out with that after 15 years.

I have no idea who would pay that much for a ZR2 instead of just stepping up to the TRX. The ZR2 is a nice truck, but not a good value. My neighbor has a TRD Pro. Also a nice truck, but I still went with the TRX for the price difference. The TRD with that V6 also sounds TERRIBLE.

Isn’t there still quite a price difference, especially given ZR2 is almost fully loaded?

23 TRX is 84k base not including markups. You could slap a supercharger on the Chevy and come pretty close with the price difference.

Raptor R is over 100k iirc.

Quick browse of listings show TRX is at 90s avg with examples in 6 figures optioned. ZR2, high 60s into 70s. Significant. I'd also point out the ZR2 is more livable from a daily perspective.

GM should start a division of COPO powersports LT1/LT4 super side-by-sides, to counter the TRX and Raptor F-150.

You don't know why someone would go with a truck that's $13,000 cheaper?

Not at that price level, no. The TRX is a relative bargain. Similar to the way the F-bodies used to be.

1) you have to find that unicorn and deal with markups when you do so not a bargan.
2) The ZR2 was available with supplier pricing so ~4,300 under MSRP for me.

The TRX MSRP was $23k more than my ZR2.

I bought the ZR2 because I didn't want a $92k truck that gets low double digit or single digit MPG. Plus it's a Ram and I don't get employee pricing on a Ram. So, $23k difference becomes $30k difference. I'm glad you think $30k is such a drop in the bucket that you would step up but it made zero sense for me.
