Surprisingly, new Z28 MSRP was higher than GT350R. I believe there were no dealer markups as well.

TBH, I did not know about Z28 track heritage until my research. However, I knew about Bullitt/Shelby/Eleanor/GT40 from movies and magazines.

Sorry to ask but what to do for flat tire? Flatbed truck? Spacers needed? Should I get OEM jack/wrench from GM? Thanks.

I tried to buy a Z/28 in 2014 and 2015, the “local market area adjustment fee” was an Average of 15 k, making the sales price 93 k plus tax and license another +15%! Welcome to California!

It was similar here in the northeast then... many just sat. And sat. And others still sat. By the time I was ready to buy mine, low mileage units at dealers in perfect shape where selling for 50-55% of MSRP. That is not the case now given this market run up, however, many can still be had for less than MSRP.

MSRP for used M2Comp/GT350/Bullitt and over 100k for GT350R and M2CS.

Used cars prices will level down eventually but not enthusiast cars. Those days are over I think.

STI is killed off. More and more ICEs will be gone soon and could come back as hybrid.

I just bought one.
I agree that the market is sleeping on them.

I estimate that 30% of the cars produced are either totalled or have a carfax accident reported.

This car feels as special as my GT3.

Not waiting for the market. I'm enjoying mine

This car has standard racing hardware of GT3RS/GT350R/M2CS/M4GTS/R8Comp/GTRNismo but much cheaper...for now.

I don't know about you guys but the Z/28 gets A LOT of attention. Most people know its Camaro but have no clue what kind it is, they can tell its a special model but never heard of ot. I often hear "I've never seen one like this one, wow".

Ford is better at marketing/presentation. You'll find plaques in the interior (dashboard) and engine bay (cover/brace/radiator).

To find the engine builder, you'll have to know where to look on our Z28. That's about it.

Why is it important for you to impress total strangers you do not know? And probably those same people you are trying to impress, or want to impress, or want their approval, you probably dislike or they most likely dislike you.

I was never able to truly grasp why some Car Guys say that ....

" My Z turns heads! " and " Head turner! ". " Love the attention! ".

Some of us spend thousands of dollars (Jay Leno spends millions) to drive down a street and have some obese over the hill woman (who dissed you in high school) with 8 kids smile at you -- is this the validity that we want today?

I don't think it's that serious. You're looking into it too deep.

Just saying the car is special and stands out. Sometimes you see a piece of machinery and you know it was built with special intentions and for special purposes. That's all.

Here’s my old post from the past.

This is no joke. Three times I’ve been approached by heavy metal listening, smokers raspy voice, little too much parting older looking ladies telling me how nice my Z/28 is and that they had one back in the 70’s.

One asked me for a ride, I just politely told them my mom was calling me so I had to go….

Damn, if I only knew what kind of women this car would attract. I should have gotten a Porsche 911…. Not! Still love my Z. Heavy metal listening older ladies still need loving.

Trust me it gets a lot of attention from older ladies. They know when they see real man’s car. Just FYI for all you young whipper snappers.

Driving around SoCal and I have only seen it one time. One time in 8 years since its debut! Probably just another Camaro to people...

BTW: More rare than my 98 Integra Type R (DC4).
