I have owned GM vehicles mostly Chevrolets since 1975 and 6 Camaros would consider a Mustang since GM has decided not to build a ICE sports car excluding the Corvette for the enthusiasts like most people here are. Ford has the right idea to grab the market with the Mustang and wish some folks at Chevrolet would keep the Camaro alive for a few more years! And no I’m planning on keeping my ZL1 for as long as possible because it’s the best of the Camaros that I have owned over the years.

I"m so glad someone is going to make another generation of a v8 manual transmission coupe. But the value is still on the SS 1le if the dark horse is a > $60k and hard to get. I'd think some Camaro owners are thinking there's a choice of trading in to get the last year of the Camaro, or holding on their current ride until the last years of the 7th gen Mustang. That would maximize years owning a v8 manual coupe.

Im glad they're still making an ICE but I have no intention of buying one anytime soon. The 6th Gen is plenty and has plenty of potential, I see no need to switch.

Its funny I had a 2002 Camaro and a member of this forum. 2 months after the end of Camaro then, this place was a ghost town. Camaro's were on every used car lot in the country. The flood came so fast the resale crashed and dealers did not even want to take them as trades. So never say never and lets see if history repeats itself..

I just can’t see myself adapting to the odd squared off display / interior gamer / electronics superstore look and feel. So, no plans to purchase.

I will never own a Mustang. Ever. Even if any one of them was given to me, I would immediately pass it on. Totally a preference. I'd rather drive a Chevy Spark than a Mustang. I own a 01 4x4 Ranger, so it's not total Ford bashing. I just think the Mustang is lame. Always have, always will. For muscle cars, I'm bowtie all the way. I like the Mopar offerings, but will always pick GM first.

I like the changes they made for 24’. I’m open to a Mustang if I can’t get a 6th gen Camaro built, or pay MSRP for a Camaro on a lot that checks most off the boxes.

Only Ford I’ve owned was a 89 5.0 LX manual coupe. It wasn’t the looker that my 70Z was, but it was definitely fun to drive- and reliable.

Given that Ford will still making a V8 muscle car till 2028 and the charger and challenger going V6 and camaro coming to an end it's a safe bet Ford will be gaining new customers.

A base C8 with the Z51 package can be had for 70K The 1LT trim level interior is better than any mustang. I will give you the no manual trans thought, but remember the C8 has the great DCT trans and the blue oval guys know why the DCT is used in the GT500 also with a no manual option. The C8 wins many times over in all performance areas and is the best bang for the buck period.

I have had a 2010 GT and a 2012 GT. This time around when I was looking to get back into a muscle car I was looking at the 2022 mustang but I just didnt like what they did to the front end. The headlights made it look droopy and soft.
I have never owned a GM and never thought i would because most of the cars they offer always seem like junk and when I gave the Camaro a look I immediately liked it more because it had a much more sinister look like it should.
Now with the 24 Mustang the exterior looks good but I would never buy it because of that interior alone. That glued on screen of an afterthought looks like dog shit and I would never want that in a sports car. IN a crossover its fine.

I agree, the interior is awful.

Nothing wrong with being an unbiased enthusiast. I don't think Chevy will lose Chevy customers but Ford will gain foreign customers. There will be enough used product on the market to appease Chevy and Mopar die-hards.
