How'd you get that to embed? I tried posting the embed link from youtube, but that didn't work. Usually, a video just embeds automatically with the link. Maybe it was just too much powAR! for this site

I haven't followed the MT82 as closely as someone like yourself would, but just out of my experience in this hobby, I'd surmise your assumption to be correct about the majority of issues. It's a herd mentality thing, and for people that tend to make decisions based on emotion rather than logic, things are blown out of proportion.

Its never the driver's fault on the internet. Everyone with transmission issues with Mustangs, Camaros, Imports...etc have all been driving manual transmission cars for 70+ years and could never be at fault for not knowing how to drive.

yup ^ agree, when I lost 1st gear and most of 2nd at the drags many moons ago in my subaru it was the faulty transmission, had nothing to do with trying a 5k clutch drop. Because before that i drove a manual 92 F150 in highschool, hell i drove manuals up hill both ways to school without shoes in blizzards u know, them were the days i tell yinz, things were simple..
..lawlz

Ive always supported that belief that alot of problems come from peoples own heads, and they convince themselves of it. And hell most dealers are not going to say no to "fixing something" if your paying the bill lol So who would ever know?

Oh, by the way, I accepted your friend request on b.net. I played a little today but work's going to be hammering me into the ground for the next week so I won't be on much until then. :(

The t3650(right code IIRC) in my Mach was pretty stout, however it had a few occurances of not going into gear once or twice and the synchro's went out at about 25000 miles, however, I drove that car hard. LOTS of track time, power shifts, nitrous, beating the shit out of skittles, etc. Both t56's were stout in my cobra's, the tr6060 sucked hairy balls in my shelby(08), the tr6060 in the camaro has been fantastic. So there can always be issues, but most are probably fine.

I killed the clutch in my '00 SS around 20k. Killed the torsen diff around the same time. I'm guessing drag radials, 5krpm dead-hook dumps, and continuous beatings may have contributed to those issues. I've never bought a car like this to just let it sit and collect dust. They've got power, and I want to use every ounce of it that I can. It's worth the breaking parts, IMO

Amen. It would be like dating a victoria's secret model and not having sex with her because you don't want to wear out her cha-cha.
