You (GM) title the car, I'll drive it as my demo and give it back when I'm done

I surely hope you would be the only person "demoing" it, because if you let your customers drive one of the IVERs, I don't think they'd be too impressed with the handling of a car with 200,000 rough, hard, and nasty miles on it.

I promise not to hand the keys to ANYONE. I never let anyone drive my cars, except Mrs. CamaroScotty.....and she don't drive stick -

Be a good Parade car....too bad I wouldn't have it by next Saturday....I'm in a Christmas parade as I am every year.

Last year it was the Malibu LTZ...looks like this year it will be a Tahoe Hybrid.

remove the drive train making it a show car. if the buyer decides to put in his own engine and transmission it's their own responsibility. or am i way of base here?

well, i dont know what to say then but, poor cars. id love to get one of the test vehicles and its a shame that all that money and work goes into them and then they just get scrapped. what a waste.

what about auctioning off the parts? or selling the cars as a shell, to places like quaker steak and lube or summit racing or any of those places that use vehicles as display pieces?

Scott.

Why not sell them as offroad use only race cars? No title, no warranty? Just a bill of sale.

Sell them as 1/2 proceeds go to charity? Can you imagine how much these cars would be worth to collectors?

Of COURSE I know what they'd be worth to collectors.

None of this is lost on ANYONE at GM. (we aren't all complete morons -- well, OK --there ARE a few......)

Offroad race car huh? And when something comes apart and it flies into a spectator.........................

.........and go back and read what I said about 'waivers'

I don't make up the law.....I just have to be like everyone else at GM and try to keep us from unnecessary risk.

+1. sadly, none of the pre-pro cars can be had by anyone so can we drop the ideas of trying to circumvent the laws that have been carefully & thoughtfully enacted for everyone's safety. it ain't gonna happen. :(
