new rearend RPM calculator ?
My car kinda drones around 1700-1950 rpm with what look like walker oval mufflers and stock 3.27 gears.[name must be facing up, if there is one]
SO im wondering rpm i will be running on highway if i find a 3.73 or 3.92 rearend somewhere. AND how much extra effective TQ i will be be feeling with either new rear gear. i know ive seen an RPM calculator somewhere in some thread and i dont think it was this too complicated one https://www.tciauto.com/racing-calculators

Just don't enter the RPM and it will calculate that for you |

if so, it appears 67.5 mph may still have me in drone rpm with 3.73 gears BUT how do i tell what rpm my tranny will stay in driving around the city at say 36 mph? not knowing which gear the auto will choose. i guess at that point i could/should use paddle shifters if i have to avoid the drone

I doubt you are going to find a online calculator that will tell you what gear you are going to be in at any point. Maybe the "Bluecat" transmission tuning tool. Otherwise you are going to have to track what gear you are in now at a given point and use that to back into it.
Here's a calculator that allows trans gear ratio input but you will have to look up the ratios for your transmission. https://www.crawlpedia.com/rpm_gear_calculator.htm |

Here is what you need:
Drones around 1700-1950 rpm, then you need 28" long Hemholtz resonator tubes. I did the math for the 1800rpms. A local muffler shop could fab them up in an afternoon. bye bye drone. 1900rpm would be 26.5" and 1700rpms would be 29.6" long.

now wheres that guy with the calculator that estimates what each gear change feels like in Hp/Tq seat of the pants. eg ; going from 2.73 gears to 3.27 feels and accelerates as if you added 60 Tq/ 40 Hp[ thats just a guess btw]
