That is good to know Eric! I was really wanting to have you guys refrain from installing the front license plate. I'll keep it in my trunk and take my chances. Worked fine with a Tahoe I had and was never questioned. I'll need to call you in a couple of weeks for status again. I ordered on May 5th and was last still at 1100 and number 98 on the list. I'll just want to know it's moving forward. The wait is killing.

Mine took 5 weeks from completion to be delivered, of course I was in QC pergatory.

My invoice has same due date (7/13) but salesman said it could be weeks longer then that. BUT he called me last night and said it is in Texas and should be to Classic mid next week. BUT I WILL BE IN SOUTH PADRE! That drive home will take FOREVER knowing what is waiting for me.

I ordered my new Camaro (1SS, RS, Black, Black, Silver Stripes, Sunroof, Auto) on 6/29 and I can't wait. My Salesman told me toward the end of year for delivery.. I guess I will keep asking Viz to check status for me. He is awesome and does a great service for us guys.

OK, I just changed my order: Stayed with 1SS, Changed Exterior Color from Black to Victory Red w/ Black Hood and Hockey Stripes, Added Boston Accoustics package, Automatic Transmission to Manual, Added Body-Color Engine Cover and a Car Cover to match Car..

i orderd in May from Eric W. when the car comes in will the dearlership be putting their Classic Chevrolet logo on the back, because i really dnt want that on the back.. no offense.. and for the license plate.. will their be a front licence plate installed?? ive been seeing camaros around and they dnt have a front license plate so i was wondering how that works..


Can anybody help me with finding out these ?'s.. thx

About 5 posts up. Eric said no decals or front license plate bracket will be installed on the car, although they have to give you the bracket for legal reasons, I believe.

my car has now been in QC for 3 weeks...unless it shipped today and i didnt know about it i will not get it before i turn 21...

Toby called me this morning, and gave me some new information. I've been in Mexico since the beginning of last week, so I have some catch up to do on info. This is what I found out...

1) I won't be taking delivery until at least the middle of august due to the SS/Manual issue
2) The issue is related to Launch Control being too hard on the output shaft
3) It seems that my car is waiting on replacement part(s)
4) Other SS/Manuals have already been released

I'm not 100% sure of the accruacy, but I thought I'd pass it along.

Personally, I'm not in the angry group of people waiting. I've been waiting long enough to get the Amercian Muscle Car of my dreams, and would rather it be free of defects and perfect. .....I know, I know.....first year model will always have issues. I knew this going in, and expect issues to arise after delivery. However, the more they can work it out at the factory, with the most experienced people working on it, the better.

Got my car from Eric Hall at Classic. Go to Classic if you want to be treated right. I wont go into detail but Classic is the only dealer in the D/FW that honors both employee discount and msrp. Some dealers told me that chevy was not allowing employee discount and I had the papers in my hand. The manager at Freedom told me that the market had changed and the dealers had the upper hand. Needless to say they are charging well above MSRP. The joker told me that to my face. I got a RJT 1LT and it is all male. Thanks to the people at Classic and Eric Hall for everthing.

I ordered from Classic and Toby as well. Got a call from Toby yesterday and my IBM 1LT/RS arrived. However I am in South Padre and won't be back until Sunday will see it Monday.
