Exactly...if AFR is OK then the pump is working fine.

I always monitor AFR with a wideband...or two. Started logging rail pressure since GM has made that conveniently possible with our cars. Even with a BAP, I see rail pressure drop 8 psi before slowly rising, but generally it's around 50-51 psi at WOT. AFR is where I set it at generally following my PE curve which is around 12.2 to 12.5. I'm not a fan of these newfangled returnless systems that spin the pump faster/slower and/or modify injector timing...and would much prefer an old school return system.

You shouldn't worry about pressure near as much as your AFR. Spray uses MUCH less fuel in even a 1/4 mile pull than you would think. I ran a 150 Shot plate kit on a HUGE cam LS1, STOCK GTO pump and never had the fps switch cut me off in a pass, even a 1/4. As long as you have all the safety crap in place, you're good.

Running a 200 shot plate in my F-body, racetronics pump, stock injectors, ls6 intake and a very similar big cam, that's it, stock ls1 otherwise.

I had a 651 rwhp, big cammed, procharged, LS2 GTO that dropped to in the 30's (only at very very top of rpm range for a split second), and duty cycle was up higher than ideal, but not too near max duty cycle, dumping fuel to keep up. Ran it HARD for over a year and 12K miles before de-modding and selling. Everything ran great and the buyer still has the car in bolt-on form, driving the crap out of it. My brother said that it had like 70K on it about a year ago, but he no longer works with the guy. I was on borrowed time and I know it, it was making 10.2 lbs of boost, so by now I would have destroyed it.

Cammed, you're right, i probably should just start running the plate, starting with the small jets, and as long as the AFR is good, and the injector duty cycles don't peg out, call it a day. Still, I'll probably eventually run a standalone fuel system for complete peace of mind.

And yes, a big Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to everyone!
