No I'm dead serious haha . . Believe me I thought the same but my buddy is looking into a mustang and thats what he said the dealer said and it's an option online he says. But i will admit i have zero interest in double checking this haha

Well his dealer is just plain wrong, or a liar.

GT is to Mustangs the same as SS is to a Camaro. Means it has a V8, no ifs ands or buts.

My plans from day 1 have been to keep mine all-original, heck even the same air in the tires, no nitrogen for me.......anyways, I want to give it away when I can't drive no more, which is hopefully a long-way off, maybe gas won't be an option then......ugh.

Having re-thought this, and reading these threads, my car may be the only original stock Camaro 5 in 40yrs.

Back in the day, we tried to make our V8s pass as six bangers. We pulled the V8 emblems off our 55 Chevys and put the 6cyl emblems on our 327s and 409s. We called them sleepers. It was kind of funny to here the solid lifters ratteling in the pretend to be six banger....

Of his/her v6(ls/lt) why would you say it's something it's not. It's like me putting that it's supercharged or that it's a zl1 when it's not. He clearly doesn't like the idea of people thinking it's a v6 so he puts ls3 376 badge on it.

I did have a guy at the dealership tell me my car wasn't an RS, he was a customer waiting in line in the service area when I picked my Camaro up after a few cosmetic mods. He told me I should remove the red SS on my grill.

Here is an older pic of my car from June....

It's a 2011 2SS/RS. I had 21" wheels put on, high wing rear spoiler, and white SS badges to replace the bowtie on the front grill and the back. I removed the red SS from the rear of the car but left the small front red SS on the grill on the side. To this guy that nullified my RS package and tried to tell me my car is now a 1SS. The funny part was he was trying to be really polite about it and was worried he might offend me.

He kept telling me "I don't mean for you to take this the wrong way but..."

He was so nice I didn't have the nerve to bring him down a notch.

A guy at work has a V6 Camaro with SS badges on the front and rear. Looks like he tried to make an RS look like something its not. I heard he was going to trade it in for a 2013 so he could get different wheels and the touch screen radio.

My supervisor has a 2LS. I have a 1LT. Both are true to their roots, lol.

Seen a few V6 cars with SS badges.

To each there own I guess, but when he or she gets called on it there the ones that are going to look like morons considering there are no real V6 SS's out there.
