What to do before dyno?
I have a dyno appointment at the end of summer. The shop sent me a waiver and questionnaire to get ready. The waiver is scary, but true. What can I do before the dyno to make sure my car is ready to handle being pushed to the absolute limit.
I might have air leak under the hood. I hear it, but can’t quite pinpoint it. Doesn’t cause any issues I know of. I have a noisy injector(s) but they all are working. Outside chance the injector noise is a noisy lifter. I have 102,000 miles. I get about 8.3 psi boost. No other issues I am aware of. I am thinking fresh spark plugs and wires is a good idea. What tests should I run, what other maintenance should I do?

Make sure you have recent tires with no patches/plugs . I do not put on dyno if date stamp on tires is more than two years old.

Air leak may be the pcv line that runs to the back of the driver side valve cover. The air traveling through it sounds like a leak on mine.

I spun a crank bearing on the dyno and had to redo the bottom half with new crank and rods. It was in for cam and heads and converter at the time or I wouldn’t dyno it. It’s just a tool to show a number and help tune the car. Complete street then street tunes the car after the dyno anyway to fix drivability issues that they can’t duplicate on the dyno (like traffic, sudden stops,ac on and so on)
