So update, the car is back, safe and sound under it's cover and under my carport. Pedal was replaced and the dealership got my Navigation working again. The whole system needed updated software or something like that to fix it. So everything official works and I'm happy. Pedal is going to take some getting used to because its a lot more of a linear feel as opposed to the last pedal that go really stiff right around where the clutch grabs. When I do get it right though, shifting is SO much smoother.

On a side note, need to finish some touch up but the badge on my steering wheel now matches my rear badge on the trunk. I know, I still need pictures. Also, will be putting in an order for some paint match ZL1 rocker panels this week hopefully. Found a few things around the house that put some nice change in my pocket so car parts it is!

Finally got time to get some pictures of everything I've done over the last few weeks. Bowtie/Flowtie painted, headlight trim painted, steering wheel bowtie painted, side lettering gone and a few other things not pictured. I removed the hood vent drip tray that attaches to the underside of the hood. Noticed she cools off a lot quicker now and the temps are a tiny bit lower. By tiny I mean tiny but it's something. Painted my strut tower bar metallic black in preparation for something else I'm working on. Details on that soon hopefully, but here she is.

What did you use to paint these, looks great. Im not a fan of the chrome grille strip at all. With the middle removed the car pulled it off but much better painted now.

I just used some Black and Selenite Grey Plasti-Dip. I didn't want anything permanent, so plasti-dip will allow me to take it off if I ever need to. Part of me, before I did this, thought it looked good and didn't need it, but now I agree with you, it's much better.

Nice, stuff holds up well if thick. Been on my silverado bowtie 3 years, been blasted by rocks, bugs, car washes and still looks good.

Great build, Ill be following.

I had a Pontiac G5 that had plasti-dip on the badges for almost 5 years and was still holding. Even held up on my center caps when a lady pulled out and hit me square on the front wheel.

Thanks, I'll keep posting!

Random picture I took in the parking lot. You know, when you're walking away and have to look back at your car. This was one of those moments. Put some pin striping on the grill and front lip as well. I think it ties things together a little bit more. Name: IMG_20180821_161123.jpg

Also, I ordered, received, and installed a set of ZL1 Rocker Panels. Just need to find time over the weekend or after work one night this week to get some pictures.

On a personal note, through a series of events and a lot of thought, I've returned to being single after being in a relationship for 8 years. It's all good though, I'm better off now and feel great. All's it means is more time and money for car things now that I don't need to worry about being yelled at for spending money on car parts

So far you havent done anything to that beauty I dont agree with.

I recently did the single thing again too, but she was replaced with one that likes working on cars, mowing and weedeating, and doing dishes/laundry. She even helps wash and detail the car.

Glad to see someone with similar taste in aesthetics.

Yeah, I probably won't get a "replacement" for a while. Probably going to get a house (with a garage of course!), settle in and focus on myself for a while.

Huge fan of the color combo. I had a 13 RS in Ruby before. I did the same thing with the matte black accents. How does the 1LE feel? I love the appearance.
