My Forced Induction build has started

Pulled the trigger on a Vortech package from Ted Jannetty for my 2010 IOM Camaro.

OLD Plan: It was a bridge too far getting the Whipple package to ship through USPS to APO address due to the weight.

NEW PLAN: Vortech YSI - sorry Whipple fans but I was going back and forth between the YSi and the Whipple before buying...

V-7 YSI with billet wheel - 3.60 and 7.8 pulleys - NOW with a 3.30 Pulley from Griptech

F Photobucket for third party posting BS... pics now from imgur.com

ID 1050x's
HP Tuners
JRE catch can and modified breather set up.
3 bar MAP
DSX Aux Pump

Already have waiting to go on:
Pat G/TSP 224/240/ .615/.615 116 +4 cam
Monster twin disk clutch
LS7 Lifters
LS9 Head gaskets
new BTR .660 platinum's
Bo White ported TB
ZL1 Pump and FPCM

I will be hand porting stock LSA 863 heads - nothing fancy just so they flow at least as good as LS3 heads. New LS 3 hollow stem intake and Manley severe duty exh valves

The SS is already Cam'd (Vengeance racing stage II NA), LT, cat back car with all after market suspension and ZL1 front brake upgrade.

Reusing supporting mods:
Melling HV oil pump - had to replace...
LS2 timing damper
C5R timing chain
ARP head bolts and cam bolts
Hardened 7.4 comp pushrods - but will measure when assembling to be sure...trend pushrods if diff length be needed...

You've got a damn near perfect build going there in my book. Great choice on just about all the parts. Look forward to your results! Have fun with the build.

Now you need to think about getting yourself HP Tuners and learning to tune yourself. Ton of fun if you have the time and patience to learn it.

Getting started this weekend - prep at least. I have to repair the floor in my garage that was built circa 1680... It is fine to park on but I don't want to be on back under the car on it like it is. Gonna be a bit of time on the parts as they just were ordered.

Manley exhaust valves arrived. They are nice pieces. Porting burrs and sanding rolls enroute.

Thanks Ted....

New Intake valves and Z28 motor mounts arrived today.....

LS hollow stems weigh 86gr and Manley severe duty exhausts weigh in at 92gr

Time to start saving for the 416 stroker upgrade next year.

My Metabo GE700 arrived along with sanding roll and mandrel kit. Waiting on non-ferrous burrs, then let the LSA head porting begin....

Update: burrs are in 3/8" cylinder ball and 3/8" cone....

Let the aluminum fly...
