How many have destroyed a drive line or part of it with 550+ RWHP

I either have a newly damaged wheel from a pothole (wheels on car for 4 days) :( or my driveline is not holding up to my abuse. I will be honest I drive the car. I dont do burnouts every light but I live out in the country and when I get on our rural road I do from time to time test its limits. I cant image the drive line, yoke, etc. are damaged or it is somehow off balance but it is possible. Also in the equation is this lovely pothole. I am going to get the front left wheel rebalanced to make sure it didnt bend but damn it.

My concern is a vibration I now have between 50-80 mph. It is essentially a pulsing and not constant. I see folks looking for drive lines from time to time but they have real power. I cant imagine my SS damaged mine.

Do you have an auto? Could be the shudder problem

If you rule out the shudder problem, pulsing is usually 2 or more things vibrating and the "pulse" is the resonance between them. Usually it's between 2 or more tires that are out of balance and once the hit resonance, the "pulse" felt is the magnification between them.

if you have said pulsing, you may want to check more than the one suspect tire.

I'ma say pulse one more time because I didn't think I said it enough

I have a 2016 M6 and it feels like it always wants to launch to the right. Also after reading about loose front end pieces from the factory on ZL1s, I'm sort of suspecting something isn't torqued to spec. Aren't all Camaro's built on the same line essentially? I know in batches, but still... I will get to checking into this in the next few days.

Also that pothole doesn't look like it has a hard edge that will break belts and bend wheels
I agree that a "pulsing" effect can be a combination of things creating it.

If your tires are all the same size, swap your fronts to the rear and see what changes.

I have a constant pulsating at all speeds. Becomes way more pronounced under braking. I’m assuming it’s unbalanced wheels. Will check back after I have wheels rebalanced.

Wheel weight probably came off. Take it to the tire shop and balance checked.

Warped rotor(s)? What you describe is almost textbook warping.

That pothole is pretty deep so the wheel could be bent or the weights might have been knocked off. Does the front end track straight or is it pulling to one side? You should alert the Highway Department about that pothole needing repair but if enough people have damage to their vehicles because of it, then you might get the State to pay for the repairs/damages. Good luck!

In Mississippi, that's not considered a pot hole.
It's just uneven pavement.

Your problem is probably wheel related as others have mentioned.
I would be very surprised if it's drive line damage.

Boy I really hope all of you are correct. I am going to the tire shop today to have the wheels checked. I literally just had them put on so I pray something isnt bent. It did "nick" the lip and I can live with that if the wheel is still true. Please let it be a missing weight. Thank you everyone for the feedback.

That happen to me too. I put DWS06 on my factory 2017 SS and hit a pothole at 50 mph and cut the sidewall. I had 150 miles on the tires. And no road hazard ins.

Well the tire shop said the sidewall damage is cosmetic and the tire is fine. Also said the wheels were a little off but not bad and that my Stance held up well and is not bent but where the lip nicked the pothole it has a slight bend. Said my wheels all balanced perfectly. Now its off to the dealer. Hopefully they dont void all my warranty for the blower.
