HID to halogen conversion

Before you think I'm crazy, this is just to meet local rules that say I need automatic light leveling with HID. Until I figure out how to put the HID back in again I need to temporarily install halogen lights to pass local tests... This is a PITA, but I have to do it.

So does anyone know if there's some easy way to temporarily install the regular Camaro halogen lights in an RS-package car? I know I'll need to by-pass the electronics for the HID lights -but is it simply a case of wiring in the headlights and main beams on the other side or is it a lot more complicated?

Another idea (as a temporary solution) is it possible to put a halogen bulb inside the stock projector (so long as it's wired to the correct voltage) as this would save buying new headlamp units?

Any ideas welcome?

Hey,

I have the same problem. Were you able to find a solution for this?

talk to gen5diy.com about getting the harness you'll need to install non-RS lights onto an RS model. halogen bulb won't fit in the RS lamp assembly
