How much can I get this car down to?
Okay, I recently posted about two identical 2SS Camaros at a dealer. One's a 2012 the other a 2013 with a 2.5k difference between the two in price. The links to them are here and here. I went to look at both cars in person and did a bit of negotiating on the 2012. They say they won't go below 35 on it. While this was going on my father decided to do a search for Camaros and found another identical model in Pennsylvania. This one is a 2013 for 35k. So what should my next move be on the local 2012 model? My dad says make an offer for 30k and work up from there. Any advice?

Check NADA and KBB. Make note of the private seller price and the retail price. You should be able to meet somewhere in the middle. Maybe lower, it all depends on what they paid for the car and how badly they need to sell it.

It makes no sense to me to pay 35K for a 2012 when you can get a 2013 for the same price... even if you have to travel across the state line to save a few bucks.
I would contine to search until you find a price you are happy with. What one dealership wont do, another one will. Good luck! Mind controlled by Cerebro

Maybe i am missing something, if your willing to pay 35 for a 12 and get a 13 for the same price (or close to it).. how is the 12 costing the same? have you used the kbb tool yet? there is no way i would pay the same for both. 12 doenst have mylink. granted i like the sun roof and more of a discount on the 12... a difference of 2473.
i think it falls to the sun roof option. and any changes from the 12 to 13. (my local dealer has a 12 and they are about 2-3 k less then a 13. still not enough for me to bite. that and someone actaully put the front plate on.. good luck hope to hear what you decided!! |

They came down a whole $400 on the 12?
I would get the 13 and have them put the rims on from the 12. |

Basically. They weren't arrogant about it though, so I'm still willing to deal with them. It's their only 2012 2SS on the lot, so they probably want to get rid of it.
