Just sold my project camaro so I can get a Z06. I'm having some remorse as well....man I loved that thing. That vette you got is beautiful man, I'd keep it if you can.

Hope all works out well for you, I'm sure the dealer won't be happy but if they are cool you should be able to get out if it. I'd consult a lawyer if possible.

This is exactly what I was going to post. The vette is yours unless your dealership will let you out of the contract. I had a friend that did the same thing with a new truck. He called the dealership and asked about backing out. They wouldn't let him. He called the finance company they were using and told them he didn't have any money or a job and if they approved him, they wouldn't get any money. Dealership had to take the truck back because financing wasn't approved.

I would have got a hard or targa top but hell nothing wrong with a vette.I would have got one instead of my ss if the c7 wasn't so close to coming out.As far as the z06 some people don't know what they are missing till they drive one.If they wrote a book on a z06 it would read " stupid fast with bolt ons" the end.

With a grand down and an extra year to pay my payments will be $200 more per month. The deal on the car isn't bad....just that extra $200 will put me too close to the edge each month.

$200 is quite a hike. I did the opposite. Sold the black C6 and my payments dropped about $300 a month and I got a better car.

FWIW, when I was 18, I did what you did. They took the car back b/c the deal wasn't finaled. They were pissed but I got out of it. Thats your only salvation. Good luck. I wouldnt put ANY more miles on it!
