I don't remember seeing your car around, did you have it parked most the time? I found like 5-6 5th Gens at the Peerless Tire store. Only performance company ones I saw were a black Lingenfelter and an orange Hennessey.

Hi, posted this earlier on CCOTR.
Happy Sunday everyone. With the Frisco BBQ challenge less then two weeks away it is time to start putting our travel plans together. The challenge starts @ 10;00 am, hoping to find enough parking so the club can park together I suggest we attempt to be in Frisco by 9:00 am. Google maps claims it is 93 miles trip with an eta of 1 hour 44 min from Castle Rock and 100 miles with a 2 hour eta from Longmont ( probably less with the supercharged car leading the way) . For the south group I suggest we meet at either Parry's Pizza off Lincoln in Parker or at Krispy Kreme off the 470 at County line. I suggest we meet @ 6:45 with a departure time of 7:00 am. Garth can you coordinate a meeting place for the North group? Should we try to have a second meeting spot for all cars to meet before we head up the mountain, any suggested locations? I'm hopeful with the ETA of 9:00 we should all be able to park in the Frisco Marina. The Marina is located on E Main st. Follow the directions listed on the BBQ link above, take exit 201 Co hwy 9 for .05 miles to E Main St take left into the Marina. Like · · Unfollow Post · 6 hours ago |

Not trying to start something here. It's your money.I'm just responding to pumpkin's quandary on. ZL-1 or vette. I've got maybe $2000-$2500 in upgrades and I bet if Brian Drove my car he could probably drop my best time to 13.4 or better. That still would only put the cost of my car around 36k (taxes included)
What's the ZL-1 59k before taxes. Especially since he has an SS already he should go Vette. |

13.1.... I am pretty sure it is stock on stock tires or the driver sucked.
i dont see why a stock ZL1 wont run mid 12s here at this elevation.....

I realize that I could buy an SS again, slap an Eaton or some twin turbo setup and have a faster car in th 1/4 mile than the ZL1 for easily less money. But that SS will also have no warranty, and when I go to trade it in I won't be getting much of anything back on all the mods that were put into it. I'm sure I could part it out and get it back to stock if I wanted to trade it in, but I'd rather not have to deal with all of that. You'd be hard pressed to setup an SS with the same tech as a ZL1 for the same kind of money. And it's not like I'm buying one to just have it parked in the garage all the time. I'll be driving the crap out of it and plan to take it to Bandimere and High Plains Raceway to make use of everything it's got.

Yeah, and the hood was never opened all weekend. No idea on the power adder or even the engine or size but one can only imagine big big block and turbo or procharger as nothing was sticking out of the hood. Maybe a bunch of nitrous? I will send a photo from my phone tomorrow.
