oil pressure too high? overfill?

Hi folks,

I guess I've overfilled my 2015 Z/28, after driving to temperature and letting engine cool down for ~30 min, the dipstick reads well above max range (~1 inch more).
as for oil pressure reading it seems ok at low revs, but it gets to 6bar if I go around 4500 , maxing out the reading.

I suspect this is too much pressure but I was not able to find any specs about the max bar for this engine. Any ideas/help?

There are two drain plugs. Engine takes 10 QTS. When it cold it maxes the bar chart with 5w30, on Ed warmed up it will go up and down with RPM. 10 QTS with filter is spot on.

I've added 11, since after putting 10QT it was below min (with warm engine)

I realize the mistake, I am waiting for a syringe to be shipped from amazon, I will pull out some

@void_kp, if you have an air compressor, do yourself a favor and buy one of these Mityvac fluid extractors.

One of the best investments in a shop. I have had this one for many years and it has paid dividends extracting various fluids!

Yes, go back and read your owners manual again on how to check the oil level.

The highlighted portion states to check oil level 5-10 minutes after warmed engine is shutdown.

yes yes, i did that too (10 min) but my problem was just adding a full quart after measuring instead of going with smaller increments. the syringe arrived and i’m going to remove some oil tomorrow. car won’t run until friday

6 bar is crazy high. Almost 90lbs of pressure. You sure it has 5w30 in it and not 10w30?

yes. it was almost a full quart over the max. yesterday I drained the excess oil. Later today I will drive it to make sure the oil pressure is within ranges.

Here's a pic for reference. 4th gear, approx 4K RPM. Ambient air temp about 85*F. Mobil One 5w30.
