That and to get away from corporate GM in general.
Cadillac could be absolutely murdering the Germans right now if corporate GM and their beancounters weren't hassling them about spending an extra $2/door handle.

Cadillac just needs something exciting and not dull. I have an ats and love the car but to me there is really nothing that sets it over the german competitors. For example Benz has a package for there c300 called the sport package. The interior has red seatbelts with black and red stitched interior with suede everywhere. Its really a good looking car and is the same price as the ats.
