2013 ZL1 Dual Mode Exhaust Options?

Picking up my new-to-me 2013 ZL1 w/ 30k miles today

I'm really digging the factory dual mode exhaust, but are there any muffler options that would be louder when open, yet still retain the controllable dual mode? Doesn't need to be factory vacuum operated, remote operated is fine (assuming no codes or issues come up from plugging vacuum lines).

My '11 SS had a muffler delete and otherwise stock exhaust. Would love to get back to that sound without full delete.

Main reason I want to keep the dual mode functionality is maybe in a year or so I'll so headers and a tune, and I don't want to re-buy and new axle back system to tone it back down on the highway. I would def be buying the forza 3 way control when I cross that bridge as well.

Thank you

When you go headers with Hi Flo Cats it will be plenty loud at WOT, eliminate the CATS if you enjoy tickets..

Like zme said. I have long tubes, no cats, x pipe, and a cam. It’s plenty loud enough for me.

Darn, yeah I have no plans to do headers and catless anytime soon.

Was hoping to find something louder in the mean time.

I did the fuse pull, so we'll see how that sounds tomorrow on the drive to work!

For legal driving just putting the windows down is a nice improvement.

How does one avoid tripping codes without cats?

When I wanted a little more sound, I went with SOLO cats and they made a world of difference...

I went with headers with high flow cats. It’s sounds awesome. Plenary loud when you want it to be.
