That easy, i would ship, save those miles for fun miles, and PPF the front end, and rear fender panels asap.

For a $500 or $600 difference, I would likely ship it.

Ship it. Reliable Carriers is a good one.

I would use that time to break-in my car and enjoy my new purchase. It’s part of the fun for me…but i also don’t obsess over the rock chips either

Agreed!
Although the cost seems reasonable for the convenience, for me - I'd also be very tempted to put the money into the travel costs and get to put on some break-in miles and get a good chunk of time in with the car right away.

DRIVE it and get some break in miles going. I drove mine from Detroit to Houston and they are actually a very comfortable ride on the freeways.

Can't see any reason to ship.

THIS!!

This time of year, DRIVE IT! Imagine how fun that drive home will be. IMO, the only time you shouldn't drive one home is if you're trying to drive it through it freezing temps.

Drive, if worried about rock chips, throw some painters tape on the front and rear rockers.

These cars sat outside before shipment and then are shipped on open trailers, it has already been exposed to the elements.

Have fun and drive it.

I taped up my rear rockers and other parts of the car for the trip home. Flew up to Detroit with a big roll of 2" blue painters tape. Worked perfectly.

Or just don't buy it, and let me get it. And I'll trailer it home. Lol

Rent a trailer and get it yourself if you don't want them handling it.
