g.m. has been trying for 2 years to put a decent top on my camaro
bought my car in April 2011. found out the water mgt bag had been repaired before i bought it. Now its 2 years later. 5 tops have been on my camaro. 2 water bags. 2 fifth bows. carpet stinks. floor pan starting to rot out. i know the people at g.m. dont care much for me as a customer, but it should be about the CAR! How long do i have to put up with this?

Yeah, you seem like a prime example for lemon law. Get away from that car IMOP. Do you have pics of the rotted floor?

I'm right there with ya brother.....dealership is putting on my 3rd fabric top & the frame was replaced with the 2d fabric top.
In cases like these, FULL refunds are due to us, not a partial refund because of a state's lemon law saying we have to pay GM xx cents per mile driven. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I dropped it off at the dealer. how long can it take to install a new one? I've said over & over that I'd never give up on this car, but the extended warranty to 6 years & 91,000 miles on the top just doesn't seem worth it anymore. |

Do you know where your car is?
Quote:
We calculated they used a tank and a half of gas. She dropped it off with a full tank. She got it back with it half full (10 gal). Now, we know Camaros don't get 77 mpg. Everyone should take a date-stamped cellphone photo of the DIC before you take your Camaro in for service. Her dealership was stupid enough to put down the actual drop-off mileage on the repair sheet. when you get your car back, knowing someone took it on their vacation. |

After calling the service Dept. yesterday, it appears that since it's warranty work for the top & TSB work for re-routing the cables in the trunk, they haven't put much priority on it. the service manager told me "We've just had a lot of other cars in and they've almost got it put back together - it should be ready in a couple of days"
I realize they don't make much off of the warranty work, but this isn't the way to get me to pay for the upcoming 50,000 service work I was going to have done. |
