What's your source? I've got mine getting new fabirc on the top right now - if there's a chance of soemthing better in a few weeks, I'd want that instead.

FBodfather - any truth to this?

I've posted on this before. I was due to get the new top a few months back. The dealer asked if I wanted to wait for the "permanent fix" coming in spring/April since I had no leaks.

Wink

Are you willing to give out the dealer's info? We promise not to tell who told us...

Scott has not chimed in on this issue since the first problems became apparent in 2011. I doubt he will chime in now.

Nobody from GM really chimes in on the roof issues. There has not been correspondence from GM even saying they are working on it.The only correspondence I received was the tsb for the top enhancements(tape fix)
but absolutely no correspondence pertaining to broken 5th bow and water management bag.

GM are you listening????? Lots of ticked off customers here.

Now why would someone who spent 40 grand on a car that doesn't operate as advertised along with having dealerships telling customers that they caused the problem or it's normal be pissed off?

Culpability/liability reasons. If they say nothing, then it isn't happening

I'm still waiting for a response from "Chevrolet Customer Service" (post #78 below)

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=271441&page=4

I don't think they troll the convertible forums anymore. Is it something I said?

Mine is back again from the second repair in 2 months for the 5th bow. Even the dealership is getting peeved about the issue. They've told me that they'll work with me on any further issues with my top, even if the warranty expires in 5K miles. the new 5th bow and water management bag are covered for 12mth/12K anyway.

Just so we are clear. There is NOT a new top coming. Only a few revisions to the current install procedure. But as stated earlier the time frame is end of March beginning of April.

updated fix

i think the update is for the paperwork only. it is being updated to include newer cars in the potential problems and authorized repairs.
