OK, here's a stupid question from an old fart with bad eyes, Why do they say the Camaro in the pictures is a ZL1 1LE ?
It's missing the tall wing at the rear of course, but I also don't see the front dive planes (canards) that the 1LE comes with. With both items missing (at least to my eyes), what makes it a 1LE ZL1 ??? |

Bottom line, more factors to consider when selecting your brake materials than just a single stopping distance test. Just food for thought.

I think the car is also running the 19" 1LE wheels and 1LE brake Caliper and similar rotor size. + 1LE Tail lights.

I am simply going to say that this was probably just a test mule car and nothing more than that. The only way a Z/28 comes out in this generation is if its something that just destroys the ZL1 1LE in terms of performance. I just don't see GM wasting time building it. Otherwise, you're going to get a car that's just a bit more than a SS 1LE with some better parts...

They’ll last longer on the street, I like the initial brake bite, less dust, lighter, It’s a part they already have, and I like the looks.

LT7 is the twin turbo version - Z06 The engines are already a done deal. Say goodbye to 6.2L and hello to 5.5L DOHC. Obviously this will all come to the Camaro as it always does. Will they put the 5.5L in a Z28? Time will tell. Gen.7 Camaro (Late 2021 release as a 2022) will definitely get the 5.5L DOHC V8's. l

That power plant in my opinion would not outpower the LT4. Track times better than the ZL1 1LE? They have their work cut out for them

Probably a $7K brake option on the 2019 model year.
